DISNEYLAND!!

We surprised the kids with a trip to Disneyland last week. We woke them up at 5:30am, fed them breakfast, and then told them! Kian was very excited - his eyes got really wide and he kept saying "Really??!". Grace said "Its too expensive" and RyRy didn't really react much at all. But that changed when we walked into Disneyland later that day! The kids were SO thrilled and loved everything about it. They loved the characters, rides, shows, and everything in between. I will never forget what a Magical week we shared together!

Hats were picked. Grace wanted the pinkest thing she could find. She didn't wear them much later though. RyRy really wanted a Peter Pan hat and he wore it all the time! He has become a big fan of Peter Pan. Kian picked the Haunted Mansion hat, even though the Mansion scared him and he didn't want to go in there again. But he liked the bats on the hat.

While Kian & I were on Space Mountain, the twins fell asleep on Randy within 20 seconds. Everytime we stopped for a minute, they would fall asleep. =)

California Adventure. We spent 4 days in Disneyland and maybe only a half day of that in California Adventure. But we really enjoyed the Aladdin musical - it was a Broadway-like production. Very impressive and the genie was hilarious.

SeaWorld - we really enjoyed SeaWorld and it was a nice change of pace in the middle of our week. The shows were great and the kids loved the penguins and sharks the most.

After SeaWorld, we went to the beach in San Diego. 1st time the kids have been to the ocean. We took their shoes/socks off and let them put their feet in the water and make prints in the sand. They really enjoyed it.

Grace met many princesses - Cinderella, Ariel, Tiana, Belle, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and even saw Tangled's Rapunzel. But when Grace waited for Cinderella, RyRy wanted to meet her too! So cute!

C'mon Kian!

Spent Kian's birthday at Legoland which he loved. It was a great birthday week for him too. He got a birthday button at DL and Legoland. At DL, all the employees would wish him Happy Birthday and people even sang Happy Birthday to him. It was a lot of fun.

I hope to go back one day! It was an amazing and memorable vacation!

Kian's project at school

Summer of 2010

What a CrAzY summer we had!! We stayed very busy! These pictures show some of the things we were up to. It was our BEST summer yet!

Kian lost 2 teeth this summer!

We had season passes to Lagoon Amusement park and were there ALL the time!!

The Peechers came to visit and the kids adore playing with their cousins. We stayed very busy that week, one activity after the other.

Went to the Haywards' cabin over a weekend and had lots of fun riding ATVs, playing games, and making the biggest smores ever!

Kids played in the backyard pool a lot and also the slip-n-slide. Ryland isn't afraid of water this year, which made it more fun.

Did a LOT of back yard work.... not so much fun.

Had an unexpected blast at the movie @ the park in Clearfield

Went to two 4th of July parades this year!

Had our annual 4th of July celebrations with the Haywards, starting with the parade.

Then had a backyard barbecue and the kids jumped on the trampoline.

Enjoyed a night of Fireworks, they were really good this year!

Spent lots of time playing outside and with neighbors. This pic is of the kids attacking Uncle Jim at one of our many barbecues.

Kian had swimming lessons for 2 weeks and does pretty good at his front stroke now!

Were invited to 5 weddings this year!! Yikes! But only made it to 2. So happy to see old friends and see wonderful people fall in love.

Ry & Mali Evans came to visit and we had a HUGE barbecue with about 40 (?) people. It was a blast!!

Kian really loved playing with Legos this summer. This is one of his many creations.

Summer OVER! Kian started 1st grade!!

Kian's Kindergarten graduation & first lost tooth

Kian's graduation program, May 28. They sang songs about all the things they learned over the year. They memorized some poems too. It was fun to watch.
