Day at Lagoon

We had a great time at Lagoon this past Tuesday! We haven't been to Lagoon for 2 years, so it all seemed new to Ryland & Grace. Kian loved every second of it, of course, and was tall enough to ride some bigger rides.

Waving to Daddy on their first ride of the day!

The boys loved this ride because they could shoot the "gun"
Kian & Randy got SOAKED on a ride!

Grace fell asleep for a good 2 hours in the afternoon
For those who don't know the story of how Randy & I met, we met at Lagoon back in 1994 when we both worked for the Rides department at Lagoon. I was working the Music Express (ride pictured behind Randy) and thats where we first met. He saw me (for the first time) working this ride and said "Thats the girl I'm going to marry". Rest is history. Its funny taking our kids to this park because of all our memories!

Ry & Grace rode almost every ride together, but when they were separated, Grace would talk to Ryland if he was near her or she would ask for him.
After we left Lagoon, Ryland fell asleep in 1 minute flat.

Such a FUN day! Exhausting and fun!! We'll be doing it again next week during "bounceback"!

Build-a-Bear Birthday Party

Kian, Ryland, and Grace were invited to Noah's (Kian's friend) birthday party at Build-a-Bear at the Gateway in Salt Lake City. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! We took the commuter rail down to the city, had dinner, let the kids run in the fountain, and then celebrated Noah's birthday at Build-a-Bear.

Kian LOVES this fountain!! He can barely contain his joy!
What a cutie! This is Caleb (Joshua's little brother). He is a little trouble maker, but too dang cute. He likes to tackle Grace and pull her hair. Ha!

Big Kisses from Grace!

I know this picture is blurry... but I thought it was a perfect example that Caleb never stays still!! Amber brought her 2 boys and left her new baby at home with her mom.

Christine and her sweet, little Jonah. Thanks Christine for such a fun day! And thanks to your husband Luke for helping to watch all our crazy kids!!
The kids were SO happy with their Build-a-Bear animals. Kian already had the brown bear from last year and added the black bear to his collection. Ry picked a horse and Grace picked Hello Kitty. What a fun AND exhausting day!!

4th of July

We had our annual 4th of July celebration with the Hayward family this year. Started off the day with the Layton parade (which was kinda lame this year, but great weather), walked around the vendors and let the kids play in bounce houses, swimming, barbecue, and fireworks that night.

Thanks Tony, Shea, Taylor & Isaac for a GREAT day!

Look at that grin!
My sweet little girl waiting for the parade to start.
I bought the head thing (has streamers behind it) for $2 and she wore it for 2 minutes. Great.
My babies
Flag fighting
They were so excited. As soon as the parade started, Grace said, in her sweet high-pitch voice, "I like it!" Ryland pointed at everything and loved all the trucks.
The clan. 80% twins. 20% not a twin.

"Where is the candy?"

Illinois Vacation Part 2

A few more pictures from our Illinois Vacation.

Ryland & Grace would cuddle with their cousins, mainly Zac like this pic and Eli.

This is INSIDE of a church!! It had a huge playground area with a track around the outside of it. Coolest thing I've ever seen in a church.

Our Illinois Vacation: part 1

We drove out to Illinois to spend time with my family:  my brother Barry, his wife Belinda and their 3 adorable kids, Aidan, Evan, & Keaton  AND  my sister Tracie, her husband Mark and their 3 amazing boys, Ben, Eli, & Zac.    We had SO much FUN!!!  Here are some of the pictures and I'll post some more later.

We went to a Children's museum in Decatur, IL and the kids loved it.  This is a picture of Ben & Tracie on the "news".
The museum had this HUGE climbing thing in the middle about 2 stories high.  Kian & Grace made it all the way to the top, whereas Ryland was a little scared.
This is Ryland at the bottom after his "defeat", he "hurt his arm"... note the face.
Eli playing ball with Ryland while Zac was playing baseball.  We went to 2 games during the week, Zac's and Evan's.  At Zac's game, besides playing ball, Ry & Grace spent their time playing in dirt.  They were COVERED in dirt and Grace put dirt in her diaper covers.
Here is 1 picture of the pool, I'll try to post more later.  This is the Mulshine's pool that they belong to and the kids LOVE it!  Ryland is usually afraid of pools but he did great in this one.  Kian had tons of fun wearing his goggles and swimming with the big boys.
This is Kian rolling down a big hill.  Its funny because the hill comes out of nowhere and it makes you wonder what is under the grass....  nothing like the real "hills" we have in Utah.  LOL

Having fun in the park!
Belinda tickling Grace.  Take a look at Randy's face...  he grew "that" over the week.

I'll try to post more pics later....
